From a young age, Tammara had a natural eye for fashion and a deep desire to express her individuality. As a little girl, she would tell her mother what colors looked best on her sister versus her own complexion and even altered her own clothes to match her personal style. That early spark ignited a lifelong passion for helping others look and feel their best.
Her journey into style coaching wasn’t linear. In 2013, during a difficult season when her father was battling liver cancer, Tammara began dealing with skin issues due to stress. She turned to YouTube, taught herself makeup, and eventually became so skilled that friends and neighbors began asking her to do their makeup for events like prom. She went on to become a certified makeup artist, offering her talent as a hobby while continuing to explore her purpose.
In 2016, Tammara gave her life to Christ. The following year, she got married and unexpectedly found herself in an identity crisis. Facing judgment and criticism within her church for her appearance and expression of style, she began to question her worth and purpose. It was during this challenging time that she leaned into her faith more deeply, allowing God to guide her through a process of healing and self-discovery. She realized her identity wasn’t defined by others’ opinions—it was rooted in who God created her to be.
In 2019, with just a word from God, she moved to Greenville, SC with her two sons and her mother, who had recently been diagnosed with dementia. Becoming a full-time caregiver while navigating a new state and role reversal in her relationship with her mom brought new challenges. Then the pandemic hit. But it was during this time that Tammara joined Style Academy and became a certified Style Coach, realizing that her love for fashion could be a tool for transformation—not just for herself, but for other women walking through their own transitions.
Through BAWSE LifeStyleZ, Tammara offers a variety of services including one-on-one style consultations, wardrobe planning sessions, and classroom-style workshops covering everything from thrifting to body type styling to budgeting. She also runs the BAWSE LifeStyleZ Patreon Membership, where members get access to exclusive content like “shop with me” videos, curated style boxes, and behind-the-scenes insights into building a lifestyle rooted in confidence and authenticity.
